TeleDOT technology takes out top award!

Vivid Solutions would like to congratulate the Auckland Regional Public Health Service, led by Nick Eichler, for taking out one of the top prizes in the prestigious 2016 Clinicians Challenge at the recent Health Infomatics New Zealand Conference in Auckland this month.

The ARPHS team took out the big prize in the Active Project / Development Category for its TeleDOT initiative which has implemented face-to-face video conferencing technology to monitor treatment for some tuberculosis patients.

Thanks to TeleDOT, patients and nurses can now monitor treatment and communicate over video via a secure and confidential live feed on their tablets, iPads, laptops or smart phones. A new ‘auto record’ function is now also available, where patients can upload video footage of themselves taking their medicine to Vivid’s secure portal for health staff to then watch at a more suitable time.
